•  An added value to this board is the reversible engraved clouds. There are 10 clouds, engraved from numbers 1 to 20. Use the 20 wooden balls to make it rain. Twisting the clouds is a funny activity for kids that will increase their interest. Besides this, manipulating clouds and balls (raindrops) develops fine motor skills. The clouds increase in color intensity as the number grows, intuitively telling the kids there should be more raindrops. While learning math, this board also opens the opportunity to teachers and parents of explaining to children why it is raining, thus, adding to their vocabulary new words such as water droplets and particles, condense, vapor, liquid, ice, gravity, meteorological phenomenon, negative and positive temperatures, snow, hailstone, frost, geosmin.
• Tracing numbers. The shapes of the numbers are easily engraved with curved grooves, offering a simple way of tracing the numbers by using a wood pencil. Thereby, children will learn to correctly write the graphic elements of numbers, respecting the shapes, size and proportion between the elements.
• Sensory play. Use colored rice or play-doh to fill in the engraved grooves of numbers.

Wood hydration

Every once in a while, you may want to moisturize wooden toys when it starts to look dry or dull. Coconut oil, olive oil, or flax seed oil does the trick! Use sparingly and apply with a washcloth or rag. If there are oily bits left, wipe them away! Then let it dry.

Wood is an environmentally friendly material, so wooden toys can be affected by environmental changes. Be careful not to leave toys outside overnight or for long periods of time. Heat, sun and humidity can affect the appearance and shape of wooden toys, which can cause them to crack or swell.

How to clean wooden toys?

We recommend cleaning toys with a soap and water solution or a water solution with apple cider vinegar. Vinegar has disinfectant properties. This solution will keep your wooden toys germ-free, providing safety for your child. Be sure to avoid bleach, detergents or abrasive cleaners; these solutions will dry the wood and cause cracks over time.

Do not immerse in water.
